Re: Hi from louisiana Hi there ~ I have an uncle still down in Metarie....he finally made his first trip to Alaska this past fall. April's a great time to come up, you'll be here for the entire 3 months of summer!! Have you been up before? Hope you enjoy the trip up....and welcome to the forum!

Re: Hi from louisiana Thanks, Sue. No, haven't been up. We fly out at 6am tomorrow and will arrive tomorrow evening at 6:30pm (your time) Wife has interview Monday for a job and if that goes like we need it to, we will be moving up ASAP. We don't have the $ to move ourselves, but if they pay, we are there! Very excited to finally get up there.
I am in N Louisiana, so Metairie is a different world from me. My boss lives there, but I frankly hate everything about New Orleans and really don't like South Louisiana much at all. Still hot here though - looking forward to cooler summers!
