 Ron Paul wins CPAC Poll
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politic ... ngers.htmlNot sure about the 2012 election, but interesting to see the change in views in a couple year span. It'd be curious to see what the world would have looked like with Ron Paul at the helm instead of Obama.

Re: Ron Paul wins CPAC Poll
Ron Paul is part of the reason we have Obama. There is a time to drop out when you stand no chance in hell and unify behind the lessor of two evils. Staying in the race to send message sure did. It said they are idiots! Hell I sent 100 bucks to Dennis Kuchinch and wound up voting for McCain. They should do the run off in the primaries and accept the out come. Third parties always loose and just screw things up.

Re: Ron Paul wins CPAC Poll
I think it's more of a flaw in our voting system. As it stands, you're right, 3rd parties usually end up causing a less favored candidate winning. I really think we need something like Instant Runoff Voting. That way, people pick their top 3 in order, and if their top 1 isn't in the 2 chosen, their 2nd, or 3rd choice would be counted. Makes it so people can vote 3rd party without another candidate with less than the majority winning.
But I doubt we'll see that change anytime soon. I just get so tired of a choice between 2 candidates I can't stand.

And of course the Left will use this to their advantage every way they can with the media in lock-step assisting. I like Ron - I don't know yet who I want to support for pres but we do live in interesting times, don't we!

Re: Ron Paul wins CPAC Poll
I campaigned for Ron Paul and disagree that voting for him was a mistake. Ron paul stands alone as a statesman and supporter of the Constitiution. McCain is a pro war monster, voting for him against Obama was the lesser of two evils? Me thinks I know who the idiot is.... and it aint me. Please educate yourself so that your foolish votes don't cancel out my informed decisions.
Don't tell me you still support wars without end? McCain and his "bomb bomb Iran?" "Staying in Iraq for a 100 years" How about preemptive bombing of Iran? Using spent uranium in Iraq? Do you realize what this has done to children in Iraq? The level of birth defects? Are these human beings "rag heads". What about the soldiers themselves? Should they be exposed to the radiation? Do you not see that the US does in fact create blowback by our occupation of so many countries? How about predator drones doing missle strikes in Pakistan? Do you really think that Bin Laden is still alive? Probably believe in the boogie man and Santa Clause as well. Can't you see that the "war on terror" is just a money making sceme for the military industrial complex? Do you not see that the US cannot afford these wars? These wars make me more secure how?
You dare call me an idiot? You my friend are a tool and it pisses me off that so many Americans sit in front of their televsions and think Fox News is keeping them informed or that some idiot of the radio is a "great american" or the Rush is a hero. Sarah Palin? Kuchinch is good on his anti war stance but is still a boot licker for the democrats and is a socialist.
The two party sytem is a rigged design to not allow a true free election and the media is a corporate system that does not alow for true flow of information. I don't believe that there is any saving the country now as it will have to fall hard to have any correction. It looks like we are on the way and shifting gears to get there quick. Hopefully the people will wake up.......... or they will keep being f/tools and voting for the lesser of two evils.
How about some real change. How about a Republic based on the Constitution? How about the government being the people and not a bunch of fat cat lifer politicians and lobbyist? Nah, I'm an idiot for thinking such a thing. God help me, my family and everyone else for that matter.
